Interfolio RPT: Important Setup Reminders

As you prepare cases for promotion, tenure, and the new sabbatical process in Interfolio RPT, please ensure that the correct roles are assigned and that candidates have access to their cases.

Please make sure candidates are notified of their cases in RPT. Notification grants candidates access to their materials and any shared case documents.

Additionally, Administrators, Chairs/Campus Deans, and Deans/Chancellors must be assigned as Committee Managers for their respective case review steps. Without this setup, they will not be able to access or complete the required forms. Detailed step-by-step instructions on these actions are available in our newly published article, Setting Up Committee Managers in Promotion and Sabbatical Cases.

Stay Up-To-Date on Recent H-1B Changes

Several recent or upcoming changes are affecting H-1B processing at UW.
  • The $100,000 fee announced on September 19 for new H-1Bs resulted in a pause on new H-1B petitions. ISO is working with UW leadership to identify paths forward for affected cases.
  • The federal government shutdown is preventing most H-1B visa requests from moving forward until it is resolved. See our blog post for more information.
  • USCIS has announced that it will no longer accept filing fee checks as of 10/29 and will move to credit card and debit payment only. ISO will reach out to units on affected cases.
The best way to stay up-to-date on visa news from ISO is to join our ISOcontacts mailing list! Request to join by emailing [email protected].
